A Commentary on Surah al-Fatihah
In this Quick Course, the main themes in the opening chapter of the Qurʾān are discussed based on the commentary of Allāmah Ṭabāṭabāʾī, al-Mīzān fī tafsīr al-Qurʾān. Understanding this beautiful chapter of the Qurʾān shapes a Muslim understanding of their relationship with the Almighty. Some of the key concepts include why Allah is deserving of all praise, why the servant is completely poor in front of God, the types of guidance and misguidance and the meaning of the straight path in relation to other paths of goodness. This course is free to take and is also available on our YouTube channel.
